“I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob.” - Exodus 3:6
There’s something easy to miss in this verse. God doesn’t introduce Himself to Moses with a list of what Moses needs to fix.
He simply says, “I am.” Before Moses does anything, God is God. Before Moses gets it right, God is faithful.
Before Moses knows what comes next, God already does. That’s sovereignty. God is not scrambling to catch up with your life. He isn’t surprised by your story. He isn’t intimidated by what you’ve done - or what you’re facing. And here’s the part that gets me: The God who is completely sovereign is also completely loving. He knows us fully, and yet He doesn’t turn away. In Christ, there is no condemnation. None.
So maybe you need to hear that this week. You are not your worst moment. You are not the sum of your failures. You are not beyond the reach of grace. God is still God. Jesus is still enough. And grace is still available.
