Something is still unfolding after Pentecost. In the season the Church calls Ordinary Time - those long green weeks after Pentecost - we are not stepping away from the story of God’s Spirit but living into it. It is “ordinary” not because it is less important, but because it is ordered and steady: the slow, faithful growth of discipleship in the rhythms of everyday life. In this season, we learn to recognize how the risen Christ meets us not only in extraordinary moments, but in the ordinary ones we might otherwise overlook.
On this 3rd Sunday after Pentecost, we are reminded that the life of faith is held together by a promise that does not depend on our perfection, but on God’s initiative. “But God proves his love for us in that while we still were sinners Christ died for us.” - Romans 5:8 This is the hope that carries us: a love that does not wait for us to get it right but comes toward us first. A grace that finds us where we are, restores us, and gently calls us forward into new life. So even now - especially now - the risen Christ is near. Sometimes expected, sometimes surprising, often recognized only in hindsight, but always present, always faithful.
Join us for a morning of song, prayer, deep hope, and Holy Communion, as we gather to recognize Christ in our midst and be renewed together.
