EVERYONE’S INVITED to share to share our Holy Eucharist celebrating the Sunday of the Resurrection: Easter Day, the pinnacle of the Church Year!
We’re beginning our Service with a special Easter Introduction on our screens entitled “Hope is Here.” The Gloria has returned and Alleluias overflow. We’re sharing Great Easter Hymns throughout, with our Virtual Choir leading us in 5 Hymns, including “Jesus Christ is Risen Today,” and “Alleluia No. 1”; and our “organ away from home,” the great organ at All Saints’, Oystermouth, Swansea, playing our instrumental Offertory Instrumental, “Thine be the Glory”, and accompanying us in our final Hymn, “The Strife is O’er”! In our Children’s Time, Fergus will be leading us in singing the song “He is Alive!” Norman and Betty are assisting. We have Luke’s account of Easter morning read and reflected upon, and the Easter Litany for the Prayers of the People. After this, our Liturgy continues with our sharing Holy Communion together, physically or spiritually, feeding by faith with thanksgiving on the One who laid down his life for us, so that we may have his life within us always. Last, our Liturgy ends, and the service begins, with a “Sending” forth into our COVID-challenged , war-weary world, to spread, in word and in deed, the Good News of our Lord’s Risen Life.
