We’re celebrating Epiphany Sunday in our Holy Eucharist on Jan. 2, the first Service of 2022! It's the beginning of the Epiphany Season, and so throughout the Service, in word, song, and action, we’re celebrating the revealing or making manifest (Epiphany) of the glory of our Lord Jesus, and the spreading of his light as it shines upon and through us. Look for our Virtual Choir to lead us in favourites such as "The First Nowell" and "We Wise Men of Orient are." We're also listening to "O Little One Sweet" sung by the Choir of Christ Church Cathedral in Whitehorse as our Offertory Anthem. We'll share together a special Epiphany Litany and a Prayer in Response to COVID-19 penned by Annemarie Paulin-Campbell, from the Jesuit Institute School of Spirituality in South Africa. Following the example of the wise men, we too are offering incense to the Lord during the Service. Norman is celebrating as we have the awesome privilege of receiving our Lord, whose glory outshines the sun, into our hearts with thanksgiving, as we share Communion, both spiritually and physically together. Then, our Liturgy ends, and the service begins, as we go forth to spread the light wherever there is darkness, through our words and our deeds.
