23rd Sunday after Pentecost

Our theme this Sunday is commitment to one another in love, to walking with each other and sharing life together. Fittingly, we have many who are working side-by-side to help us worship together. Norman is officiating, Betty is assisting, and Fergus is preaching. Our Virtual Choir is leading our Congregational Hymns, Dan and Debra are on video with our First and Second Readings, and Murray is in-person to lead us in the Prayers of the People. Our experience of God through one another is also expressed in the rich resources of our Liturgy: 3 Readings from Holy Scripture plus a Psalm; the form and language of the Book of Common Prayer, which we share every 5th Sunday of the month; a Prayer in Response to COVID-19 from Australia; and Hymns from the 17th century to 1994, from Canada, England, Germany, and the USA. Last, we’re experiencing the riches of both Word and Sacrament, as we’re sharing Communion together, physically (with the Reserved Sacrament we’ve picked up from the Office Mon. to Fri. between 9 and noon, or by appointment) or spiritually!

Today’s Service of Holy Eucharist will be livestreamed on our main Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/stpaulscalgary) at 9:30 am. Following the service, the video will be posted on our YouTube Channel, and a link to the service will be added here.
