22nd Sunday after Pentecost

It’s a Triple C Service this Sunday, when we share a Christ-centred Creative Celebration together. We have parts of our Service from Canada, the US, the UK, Australia, and South Korea! The focus for our Service is the encounter between Jesus and the blind man named Bartimaeus, particularly Jesus’ question, “What do you want me to do for you?” and Bartimaeus’ answer: “Teacher, let me see again.” We hear Jesus ask the same question of us, in our own blindness. To help us do this, we’re blessed to have Norman preaching and our Virtual Choir leading us in our 4 Hymns, each of which expresses this theme. In our Service, we also have a special Children’s Time song: “We are the Church.” We’re blessed to have Dan on video sharing our First Reading and Doreen on audio leading us in the Prayers. Speaking of Prayers, we have a special Stewardship Litany with this year’s theme: “Every Perfect Gift.” LA has also picked for us another special Stewardship Video, “The Water Parable.” Finally, we’re sharing Communion together, physically (with the Reserved Sacrament we’ve picked up from the Office Mon. to Fri. between 9 and noon, or by appointment) or spiritually!

Today’s Service of Holy Eucharist will be livestreamed on our main Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/stpaulscalgary) at 9:30 am. Following the service, the video will be posted on our YouTube Channel, and a link to the service will be added here. To watch this service in full screen mode, please click on the “Watch on YouTube” button in the lower left-hand corner of the video.   Please download the Order of Service in the Sermon Notes above if you would like to follow along.
