Conversion of St. Paul

It’s our Patronal Festival, the Feast of the Conversion of St. Paul, and the day of our Annual Meeting. We’ll explore the story of how Jesus’ light opened St. Paul's heart and mind to God's grace - our Parish's Vision for us and for all people! Our Service throughout expresses the themes of grace, love, ligh – received, celebrated, and shared. It’s also a Triple C Service, the special Christ-centred Creative Celebration we have once a month. Look for a special translation of Holy Scripture for our Readings, and a special Call to Worship, Affirmation of Faith, Responsive Litany, Confession, Eucharistic Prayer, and Blessing. Also look for a Prayer for our Annual Meeting and our Parish Prayer, plus a video of the Bishop of Montreal leading us in a Prayer in Response to COVID-19. We’re blessed to have Norman and Murray in person to preach and lead the Prayers of the People, respectively; and to have video of Debra sharing our First Reading, and audio of our Choir leading us in our Hymns. Our Patron wrote in 1 Corinthians 10:17, “We who are many are one body, for we all partake of the one bread.” And so, it is most fitting that, celebrating his Feast, just before we hold our Annual Meeting, we unite to share Spiritual Communion together, feeding on our Lord by faith with thanksgiving. When our Liturgy ends, the service begins, as we go forth united in our mission of spreading the light of Our Lord’s love.

Today’s Service of Holy Eucharist will be livestreamed on our main Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/stpaulscalgary) at 9:30 am. Following the service, the video will be posted on our YouTube Channel, and a link to the service will be added here. Please download the Order of Service if you would like to follow along.
